Palm Frond Fish
I was attracted to the rich mahogany look of palm fronds that I noticed lying on the ground two years ago when we went to see our friends Ron and Barb in Florida. The fronds I brought back had been in my art room closet for that long. Last week we got to visit them again so I wanted to see what I could do with them. I did the redfish and rainbow trout one morning before we left using acrylics and spraying with a matt finish. Fun project! I hope they like them hung in their “Florida” porch overlooking their little oasis of tropical plants, waterfall, and Barb’s Hemingway cats roaming around!
